Congratulations Porter J!!!

YEAH.. it was so fun.. we saw him walk for the first time last night.  It's like he's surfing.. his little feet are shifting his weight back and forth.. but he did it.. right in front of us.  We'll post a video in the next few days.. it was VERY exciting!!  We all clapped and yelled YEAH Porter!

Books Books and more Books!

He just loves books.  I was doing chores up stairs the other day.. and he found his books and was entertained the whole time I was getting my stuff done.  Then we read some together! 

Random fun fact.. when I read books to Porter.. I almost always read the potty book.  I keep thinking it'll help him learn how to "pee pee in the potty".  Whenever he goes for the books.. he always goes for the potty book.. I'm like.. ok.. that's weird.. do you really remember that book?



First Trip to Jo's!

He pretty much hated it and cried the whole time.  But it was just getting too hard to take care of and he hated me trying to comb it out.  It's much more manageable now!  Jo is Chris's barber and friend!

What's Porter Up To?

He's growing like crazy.  He loves to say "Hi" his first word.  He furniture surfs constantly.. and it's only a number of days until he's walking every where.  He loves to get into drawers and throw everything out.   He loves to hop every where.. he does crawl.. but I wish you could see him hop.. it's awesome.  Also.. he's started this whole smile thing where he scrunches up his face when he smiles.  When he screams which he started to do for fun a couple weeks ago.. I grab his face softly and say "no scream" and then he gives me this crazy smile.. I'm like.. how am I supposed to discipline that face.. I'm pathetic.  Hopefully we'll be able to capture this cheesy smile on camera!

Feeling The Love!

Today is Valentine's Day.. how fun that Porter had his own little Valentine box at school.  He got lots of Valentine wishes from his buddies.  How cute is his little box!  This is why I love his school!  They are awesome.

Trippin!

This weekend we took our first plane ride since our big voyage to Ethiopia!  Down to Cali to see Chris's fam.  Porter loved hanging with his cousins, one of which is six weeks older than him.  Here are a few pics from our trip!

Plucking!!!

I thought that might get your attention.  Are you wondering why there is a picture of a woman plucking a chicken?  Well, let me tell you why!  I've never, in my life had a grey hair.. and I swear in the last 3 months.. it's like they have sprouted like weeds on the top of my head.  Grey hair runs in my family.. but I always thought that I was spared that gene....not so lucky.  Is it odd that I just became a parent and am now getting grey hair??  Hum.. I think that seems a little fishy?
