Yes, Indeed... I'm Walkin'!

We held off posting this until after my sisters party because my Mom was in the video.  The day Porter walked for the first time.. Mom shouldn't have been at my house.. Mom was at my house because we were scheming  for my sisters surprise party.  We were concerned if my sister new my Mom was over that she might think something was up.  I seriously LOVE this video!  I could watch it a million times.

Just A Few Words....

I've had a few hours to process the day.  Today meant so much to me.  Just a simple day of meeting up with another new mom and going to a play center.  This is truly what I've dreamed of for so long.

I found a great on-line site this afternoon that had interactive toddler games.  Porter laid his head on my chest as he watched the virtual images and cyber cartoons.  

I just felt like I needed to document these thoughts and feelings so I could remember how full my heart feels.

On another note..... this afternoon he pulled the runner off the table along with a plate that had fake fruit on it.  The plate broke; so I super glued the plate back together.. However.. I came about 1 second from gluing my fingers to the plate and now have a two inch layer of super glue on my fingers.. which I tried to get off with paint stripper, no luck!

By George... I think He's GOT IT!

ok.. it's seriously just the little things.. but he learned how to drink out of a straw today.. and drank his first juice box!  He loved it.  Go Porter J!  By the way.. if you're totally bored you should do a search of juice box images..  "Why are there so many"?  it's creepy!

We're dog sitting our friends doggie this week.. every where I go they follow... Porter.. Carter.. and Bob.. I'm like the Mama Duck.

Also.. today we went to http://munchkinplayland.com/  It's like a coffee/sandwich shop for adults and has a rock'n little kid play area.. Porter loved it!  We met up with another new Mom that just adopted from Ethiopia.  Fun times!  We'll definitely be back.

Received the Certificate of Citizenship in the mail today.  Can you believe it.. 6 weeks...!  Woo Hoo.. happy dance!  Thought that was going to be a major fiasco.. couldn't have been easier!  Back to social security tomorrow to get his name and status corrected.. and then we have made it through ALL the paperwork.. WOW.. let's celebrate!

Chris made his famous homemade chicken strips which are "crazy awesome"!!  Someone decide to put chicken in his hair!!  Why, I don't know.. but he sure thought it was funny!

ok.... nothing to do with Porter J.. but it's worth an honorable mention.. My Mom and I threw a surprise 40th b-day party for my sister.. it was awesome.. she had no idea.  We had this in the works since December!  It was just a few of her closest friends at a small wine bar last Saturday.. it was great!

I swear we didn't plan to wear the same color.

Did I mention my Mom makes the best ranch, EVER!

I just got home from grocery shopping and he wanted a grocery bag.. WOW.. cheap entertainment!  And seriously.. how can you say "No" to that smile?  I'm screwed.
